Thought I would have a great experience due to the positive ratings and the customer service person I spoke to who made the arrangements quickly. Unfortunately the 3 young boys arrived at my home smelling like weed. Although they completed 75% of the work within the first hour, they took numerous weed breaks, which made the move take longer than needed. They started at 3:45pm and caused me to arrive at the storage facility at 7:45pm, knowing the facility would close at 8pm. I believe this was done intentionally to hold my belongings overnight. My furniture and property were poorly packed in the truck causing items to be broken. My mattress, sofa or lovseat were not wrapped and became filthy as a result of the move. Because I did not arrive at the storage facility in time, the work had to be completed the next day, which meant I had to leave my valuables with complete strangers overnight. It took another 3 hours to store my items the next day, and the young boys were NOT experienced to do this so I was forced to help. Two of the three workers were no where to be found. So, when searching for them they were found hiding stolen items in the truck. I had no idea that I would be victimized until after moving into my new home two months later. Four out of ten boxes were missing, which contained my printer, kitchen tools and accessories needed for cooking and serving meals. The storage bag containing my bathroom towels had been ripped into, and my towels set was stolen along with my stainless steel mini garbage can. When I called to make the first complaint I was told that the workers were releaved of their work for a week, and I would not be charged the overnight storage fee. Unfortunately, this does not resolve my issue of paying for unnecessary hours of work due to prolonged breaks, the workers working while high, broken and stolen items which has yet to be addressed along with the additional day of work which required my participation. For 2 hours myself and one young black boy sorted and stored the unit ourselves. In fact, had I not been there all of our items would not have been able to fit.

To Oren Your crew did a hell of a job. They are hard workers that get the job done quickly, carefully and neatly. Oh did I mention honest? I was surprised to find out that my wife hides money under the mattress (really! not kidding!). Well they came running out of the bedroom yelling Miss! Miss! Miss! with a significant amount of cash in their hands. Our move was from Bloomfield Nj to Hilton Head Island SC. We opted to have Booth use one of their largest straight trucks to p/u and deliver. They packed on a Monday, drove most of Tuesday and pulled up to unpack at 11 AM on Wednesday. George their Relocation Specialist was spot on with his quote and recommendations. Very professional, knowledgeable. Can you guess we were happy with the service i will recommend your company to ALL.

These people are thieves and liars. They will tell you any quote to get your business. Once they have your stuff on the truck the price will double . I felt like I was lied to and robbed. I was taken advantage of, because I was desperate. These robbers held my things hostage until I agreed to tip them. They wouldn't bring my stuff up the stairs until the payment went through. My quote was 500 and it cost 1200. Do not use these people.

Sincerely,

This company is the absolute worst. Jay, the in-take rep will listen and talk to you like a kind old Uncle, then under-sell you by half to get your business and provide a false sense of security. We moved twice with them within a span of 4 months. The first move, other than costing twice as much as the estimate, went fairly smoothly, but the second move 3 months later was a disaster. The quote the second time should have been more realistic - I can only assume they do nothing in good faith. 3/4 of the stuff we moved the first time was still packed in boxes or disassembled. The entire move should have cost less and taken less time. The three-man crew didn't have to take anything apart other than a dining table and a desk. They three guys were disorganized and unprepared. They brought a truck with a broken lift-gate so everything took longer and was hoisted on and off the truck causing scrapes and chips and tears. They had fewer things to move as my wife and I took a 17 foot truck load of boxes and odds and ends over to the new house ourselves, yet they claim everything couldn't fit on their truck and needed two trips. The first move took 6 hours and this one took nearly 11. They LOST my daughter's saxophone (which we didn't realize for two weeks), and we had to rent her a new one. They damaged furniture and scraped up a newly panted wall along the stairs. They refused to follow my wife on the 10 mile drive to the new house and took 45 minutes (we think they went off to get something to eat). By the time they got the last thing into the new house, they refused to reassemble the modular desk because it was now after 7:30pm and the lead mover said he, "didn't have another hour to waste" putting the desk back together. There was no time to review everything for damage or if it was lost before they took off. It ended up costing almost twice the estimate (again). I filed a claim with photos and exhibits with their 3rd party claim company and all they offered me in compensation for this clusterf**k of a colossal waste of time and money was a paltry $72. NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND CHEATS!!

I believe this moving experience would have been better with more experienced and mature workers. Unfortunately there is no way to determine who will do the work, so make sure you have people watching the workers do the work.

In Manhattan, the driver got a parking ticket but the office thankfully did not transfer that fee to me. All other costs were expected and previously described to me over the phone, via email and in writing.

In Manhattan, one of the movers broke a sconce in the hallway and did not tell anyone. My superintendent came to my apartment the next day very upset that I had not told him and arranged for the moving company's insurance to cover the damage. The office staff assured me the insurance would cover the cost.

Very Dissatisfied Customer

The reasons I am giving 4 out of 5 instead of 5 out of 5 stars are the following. On move out from Rochester, I was told I would have an afternoon move out between 2-4pm but the driver called at 9am saying he was an hour away. I had to scramble to get the last remaining items packed, but the driver and mover were understanding. They worked very fast, but so did I! On the move into Manhattan, I was told I would have an early afternoon move in between 12-2pm but the driver called at 3pm saying he was an hour away. This made me nervous because my new building has strict rules about moving times and use of the service elevator. It seems these problems could be better managed if the office staff could give more accurate time estimates - or at least the same estimate to the customer as to the driver.

All in One Moving helped me when I was in a tough jam! They accommodated my last-minute move out of my apartment in Rochester, NY. They were able to safely store my belongings in their storage facility in NJ for 6 weeks. They provided 4 weeks of storage for free. They have options for climate control but I did not require it given my move was in the summer. Once I found an apartment in Manhattan, they helped move me in within the week. I would recommend them for others. Customer service seems to be at the front of their minds.

All in all, this company provided a good reliable service. I will surely recommend them in the future.
